As a remote student, you can write, direct, or produce over Zoom (through the use of an iPad) from anywhere in the world, using the same crews, actors, and soundstages that on-campus students use. These are fantastic opportunities to collaborate with your fellow students.
A big part of what I learned at the Academy is how to live and work in this industry. Being on set you actually learn what you like to do and what you’re naturally inclined to do….this incredible base to use as a jumping off point.
A formal education allows you to take the time to learn that kind of stuff. Absolutely I’d recommend the Academy.
