Scholarships

Since the Academy of Art University's scholarship program was founded over forty years ago, we have helped over 45,000 aspiring artists and designers pursue their educational goals in art and design. The Academy of Art University offers a number of innovative and inexpensive ways for first-time Academy students, high school students, and teachers to improve their skills and experience all that the Academy has to offer. Please take a moment to learn more about these scholarship programs.

Portfolio Grant

The Portfolio Grant, which provides up to a 100% tuition scholarship, is offered to a limited number of first-time undergraduate Academy students who are enrolling in two on campus or online classes (minimum) in our degree-seeking or certificate program for Summer Semester at the Academy of Art University, as well as four classes for Fall Semester. Recipients of the Portfolio Grant may enroll in regular Summer Semester courses offered on campus or online.

Pre-College Programs

The Pre-College Summer Art Experience and Pre-College Saturday Art Experience are programs that provide intensive art experiences for high school students. All high school students are invited to apply to take advantage of this full-tuition scholarship (based on availability).

Teacher Grant

The Teacher Grant provides high school and community college art teachers an opportunity to practice and improve their skills. These full-tuition scholarships apply toward any regular undergraduate course and are subject to limited availability.
