Housing Rates

Housing rates are based on the type of room and building a student selects, varying by the number of roommates a student has. Specific information regarding buildings/room types offered can be found in the overview about housing.
Housing Deposit
An initial deposit of $500 is due with your application. This deposit carries over all semesters you remain in campus housing. Per the Housing License Agreement, $75 is taken out of your housing deposit each semester for general building maintenance. You are responsible for replenishing you housing deposit each semester so that the balance is always $500. Additional cleaning, damages, and conduct-related fines are also deducted from the housing deposit. You do not need to pay a new deposit as long as you continue living in campus housing; you just need to maintain a balance of $500.
Meal Plans
Meal plans cost $3,701 per semester for Fall and Spring semesters and $1,746 for the Summer semester. Meal plans are required for all Fall and Spring residents living in the following campus housing:
- Clara Gil Stephens (620 Sutter St.)
- Howard Brodie (655 Sutter St.)
The Sutter Street Café provides restaurant-style accommodations, and all meals are made to order. The I-House Café provides daily specials and grill menus. See Student Dining for more info.
