The Acting facilities at the Academy are top-notch for the specific training environment every actor dreams of. We offer a 200-seat main stage theater at 620 Sutter Street (in the heart of San Francisco’s performance district) and two secondary performance spaces at other Academy campus buildings. You’ll have access to a fully equipped acting studio, three sound stages, a voiceover studio, and an ADR room—all designed to prepare you for a career as a professional actor.

3D Pattern Making Lab

In the 3D Pattern Making Lab students have access to cutting edge technology utilized by top brands in the industry. Gerber Accumark, YuniquePLM, CLO3D software and hardware such as a Gerber Infinity Plotter and Digitizer are available for bringing patterns to life, as done in the industry for global production.

1849 Van Ness Ave

1849 Van Ness Ave is one of the many buildings within the Academy of Art University. Home to wood, metal, and pain shops and a 3D printer for student use.

Art Cafe

Adjacent to the Brodie Residence Hall, the Art Café offers a wide selection of grab-and-go meals including sandwiches, salads, desserts, and hot microwaveable meals as well as coffee, tea, and food options.

Equipment Lab

Available are a fully-equipped wood shop, the only complete art and sculpture neon studio in California, and a mold-making studio for one, two, and three-piece plaster and rubber casts.
