The Acting facilities at the Academy are top-notch for the specific training environment every actor dreams of. We offer a 200-seat main stage theater at 620 Sutter Street (in the heart of San Francisco’s performance district) and two secondary performance spaces at other Academy campus buildings. You’ll have access to a fully equipped acting studio, three sound stages, a voiceover studio, and an ADR room—all designed to prepare you for a career as a professional actor.

Physical Computing

Our advanced-level classes help students create online-based/related products and experiences of the future. Microcontrollers such as the Arduino are explored to extend the capabilities of web technology far beyond a simple site. Depth-based Input devices such as Microsoft Kinect and Leap Motion are explored in addition to touch paradigms, simple sensors, and control mechanisms.

Professional Equipment

As a student in Jewelry & Metal Arts, you will have access to professional equipment like a 20-ton hydraulic press, as well as enameling, lost wax casting, and calibrated burnout kilns.

Video Lab

Edit and process video with Mac workstations with Final Cut Pro for input and output, a control room for production and high-end transfers, and rent cameras, lenses, and lighting kits for all your assignments in our video lab.
