“I was extremely shocked. I worked really hard over the last year to get all these projects done, so of course, I hoped I would do well, but I didn’t expect to do THAT well. As each award was announced, my shock compounded, and the moment they announced my Garden Creamery ‘Eat Dessert First’ campaign got four golds, my soul left my body for a second,” said top award-winning student Jamie Baden.

The night was filled with electrifying moments as students saw their hard work rewarded. Their projects, ranging from thought-provoking campaigns to innovative digital experiences, demonstrated a level of storytelling and craftsmanship that resonated deeply with the judges.

“Our students know how to think, not just execute. They’re fearless with their ideas, but what really sets them apart is how they blend strategy, storytelling, and craft. Plus, we’re not afraid of technology. AI isn’t a threat—it’s a tool. These students are already building campaigns the industry hasn’t even dreamed up because they know how to use AI as a creative partner, not a crutch,” said Ross Patrick, Director & Creative Lead for the Schools of Brand Communications & Advertising.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see our students recognized for their creativity and hard work. Winning multiple golds and a ‘Best in Show’ at the ADDYs, especially two years in a row, speaks volumes about the talent and dedication of our students. But more importantly, awards like these validate the power of their portfolios. In this industry, it’s all about the work. Recognition from respected competitions opens doors. It’s how you get noticed, hired, and ultimately build a career,” said Doug Van Praet, Executive Director for the Schools of Brand Communications & Advertising.

For students pursuing a Degree in Advertising, this achievement is more than just an awards night, it’s a launching pad for their careers. “Before coming to ArtU, I wasn’t sure if I had what it took to make it in this industry,” said two-time Best in Show winner, William Gustafsson Jonson. “But this experience has completely changed that. I feel more confident than ever in my abilities, and I know I’m ready for whatever comes next.”

The overwhelming success at the Greater San Francisco Ad Club Awards reaffirms ArtU’s reputation as a powerhouse in advertising education. With world-class Advertising Courses designed to develop top-tier talent, the school remains dedicated to shaping the next generation of industry leaders who will redefine the future of advertising.
