Two Academy of Art University graduates have made it to GDUSA’s Students to Watch 2022 list. Otto Homruen and Jennifer Sandra Wittor both earned their degrees from the School of Graphic Design. They were also both Division 2 NCAA athletes.
The GDUSA list is meant to identify and promote “top students ready to burst on the design scene.”
Otto Homruen
Otto was born and raised in Hua Hin, Thailand. He is currently based in San Francisco as a graphic designer specializing in packaging, branding, and editorial design.
During his time in the Academy, he also played in the Men’s Golf team. He considers Josef Müller-Brockmann his inspiration, having been drawn to graphic design because of Müller-Brockmann’s typography style.

Jennifer Sandra Wittor
Jennifer was born and raised in Darmstadt, Germany. Sheis currently based in San Francisco as a graphic designer specializing in packaging design, branding, typography, and motion graphics.
During her time in the Academy, she also played for the Women’s Soccer team. Among her design inspirations are David Carson, Jennet Liaw, David Milan, and the late Virgil Abloh.
