Military Tuition Assistance is a benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Each service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application process, and restrictions. This money is usually paid directly to the institution by the individual services.
Top-up can also be helpful for taking just a few courses with TA while on active duty. You can save most of your GI Bill® benefits to complete your education program after service.
Tuition assistance is not a loan; it should be viewed as money you have earned just like your base pay.
Tuition Assistance can help eligible members of the military cover the cost of tuition. However, each branch sets its own eligibility criteria. Click the link below to see what criteria is set by your branch.
