Antonio Borja is an accomplished industrial designer with a passion for education and innovation. A graduate of the School of Industrial Design at the Academy of Art University, where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2004, Antonio has built a distinguished career that seamlessly combines creative practice and mentorship.Â
As a former creative designer for General Motors and a seasoned freelance professional, Antonio gained invaluable industry insights and honed his expertise. Returning to his alma mater, he has taught courses in Design Drawing, Transportation Design, and Digital 3D modeling. He also established an interdisciplinary collaborative program that connects students with prestigious companies such as NASA, Samsung, Audi, and Jaguar, offering them real-world experience across various design disciplines.
In his role as Director of the School of Industrial Design, Antonio spearheads initiatives to integrate cutting-edge technologies, including rapid prototyping and generative design, into the curriculum. Under his leadership, the program has become a sought-after partner for leading companies like Gravity Sketch, Adobe, and Autodesk.
Antonio’s dedication to bridging the gap between academia and industry continues to inspire the next generation of designers, equipping them with the skills and vision to excel in a rapidly evolving field.
