Academy of Art University Tops the Rookies 2019 Global School Rankings
San Francisco, CA, Oct 15, 2019 — Academy of Art University, a San Francisco art school, is ranked as the Best Concept Art & Illustration School in the United States and Top 3 worldwide by Autodesk’s Rookies World School Rankings® for the second year in a row. Additionally, the Academy is also rated as top schools worldwide in Animation and Architectural Visualization, according to the Rookies.
The Rookies World School Rankings® is one of the worlds most respected rankings for educational facilities that prepare artists for careers in creative media and entertainment industries. It utilizes a comprehensive and unique ranking methodology that focus on the quality and performance of student work submitted by thousands of students to a high-profile international judging panel of over 120 experts for the Rookies Award 2019.
Academy of Art University topped the rankings among three categories:
- 1st in America and the 3nd in the world for the Best Concept Art & Illustration School
- Top 10 in the world for the Best Animation School
- Top 5 in the world for the Best Architectural Visualization School
In addition to the rankings, Academy’s student from the School of Visual Development, Hyun Lee, was named “Rookie of the Year” in the Concept Art & Illustration category of the 2019 Rookies Award, which received 3,458 entries from over 500 academic facilities in 89 countries this year. This is also the second year in a row, Academy’s students are awarded “Rookies of the Year” in the same category.
