When it comes to Fashion Journalism and the world of publishing, Stephan Rabimov is a seasoned expert at the Academy of Art University. With 15 years of experience under his belt as both a writer and a mentor, Stephan credits his success to a learned ability to connect with diverse audiences. So, when Grammarly reached out to collaborate on their “Write the Future” campaign, he immediately said yes.
Grammarly’s “Write the Future” campaign highlights success stories of its users across multiple industries and platforms. Featuring multidimensional individuals with unique career trajectories, the campaign’s message resonates strongly with Stephan’s philosophy of empowering others to honor the value of clear communication.
“Fashion is important because it is a common language around the world,” he says. “Fashion journalists are storytellers. The stories we tell can tackle important social issues in unexpected, profound ways.”
Stephan’s path in Fashion Journalism includes numerous accomplishments. His work has been published in many publications, including The New York Times, Russia Beyond The Headlines Edition, Forbes International, Observer, Haute Living, The Wall Street Journal, and Huffington Post. He regularly holds keynote lectures throughout the world on the topic of “Fashion Diplomacy,” including a recently sold out lecture at the de Young Museum as part of the “Contemporary Muslim Fashions” exhibition in San Francisco, CA.
As a prominent voice in Fashion Journalism, Stephan leverages Grammarly to strengthen his connection not only with print and digital audiences worldwide, but with his students in the classroom, as well.
“I live for the moments when students get the true power of words that they control,” says Stephan.
Like Grammarly, the Fashion Journalism program equips and trains students to find their voice and “Write the Future” of the fashion industry. Those who are interested in joining the conversation at Academy of Art University can now apply to the 2019 Spring Forward Scholarship and are encouraged to take advantage of Grammarly’s helpful tools and features while writing their submissions.
