‘We All Have Stories to Tell’: Acting School Challenges Students in Solo Festival

Two students in Academy of Art University’s School of Acting were challenged to look inward and perform with raw vulnerability in the school’s first annual Solo Performance Festival. The Dec. 7 event, billed It’s Not Always Black and White, featured two one-person plays by students Samantha Girard (MA candidate) and Treya Brown (BFA candidate).

A professional illustrator and fine artist, Dr. Maughan has provided numerous illustrations for such companies as DreamWorks, CBS, Universal Studios, Chevrolet, Doubleday, Oxford University Press, to name but a few. His work has been represented by major galleries and publishers, domestically and internationally. Dr. Maughan’s book, The Artist’s Complete Guide to Drawing the Head, was published in 2004.
